Even though there are a few observability solutions out there, I thought I could modernize them a bit and perhaps make them all available in one place. After finding out about the public Gamefound API, I decided to get to work!
My Goal
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, both tabletop and video games, I find it not only helpful for consumers but ultimately creators to have some degree of observability into the world of tabletop crowdfunding. Whether you're making plans for your next campaign to back or searching for a new project, this website helps you better visualize data and ultimately make your decisions. What's the catch?
Currently, there are no plans on monetizing this platform. It's made by a single person with no real experience of designing or coding websites (I'm just a SysAdmin!). The reason I'm doing this is for the challenge and fun of it. So if you want to buy me a coffee, I'll happily accept your gift!
Present
Currently, we only scrape active Gamefound Projects. The public API doesn't offer a way to scrape old data, but I'm working on it.
What about Kickstarter and Backerkit?
When I first started working on it, that was the goal. It still is, and I don't plan on changing it! Where there is a will, there is a way :D
